Cloudy with outbreaks of rain, possibly heavy in places.
The high pressure of Scandinavia will give a persistent southeast wind over the British Isles. Most parts will see some sunny spells through the day. However an area of light patchy rain or drizzle will move north from south England to Wales, Ireland and possibly western parts of Scotland through the morning and afternoon. East coasts will be generally cloudy with a few showers over eastern Aberdeenshire and the Northern Isles. Best of the dry and sunny weather over southeast England. Maximum temperatures at around 9-10C over the south, and 7-8C over the north.
Thick cloud with light rain or drizzle over western and northern parts of Ireland as well as west-southwest Scotland through the evening, clearing overnight into Friday. Elsewhere generally a dry evening and night with long clear spells, but cloudier close to east coasts. Minimum temperatures at 4-5C over most areas, with isolated patches of frost over the most sheltered Scottish glens.
