Sunny spells and light rain for England and Wales. Cloudier with occasional rain over Scotland.

A mix of sunny spells and outbreaks of light rain over England and Wales. Further north thick cloud will give some rain, a bit more heavy at times mostly over southern Scotland. Some heavy rain later in the afternoon over the Northern Isles and Caithness. Generally breezy but strengthening Northerly winds over Scotland later. Temperature will rise up to 9C over England and Wales, up to 5C over Northern Ireland and southern Scotland, but only up to 3C over north Scotland with an increased wind chill there.

Though the evening and overnight most areas will get dry with clear spells and lighter winds. Some rain remaining over north Scotland, but this easing off later too. Some patchy frost over Scotland with a risk of icy stretches, Minimum temperature at around 2-3C in Scotland and Northern Ireland, but 5-6C over England and Wales.
