Broken cloud, morning drizzle in east then getting brighter

Rather cloudy this morning over much of the country. Some drizzle affecting eastern parts of the Midlands and East Anglia, this slipping into the southeast. Dry for other areas with the best sunshine in northern Scotland.

Stying rather cloudy in the Midlands, southwest England and Wales as well as parts of northern England and central Scotland this afternoon. Bright in the east with sunny spells and dry. Bright in Ireland with more sunny spells here.

Tonight brings some cloud to eastern areas. It should be clearer further west although even here some broken cloud. Chilly under the clearer skies in the west.
