Local showers
Warm in sunshine

Showery rain for north tonight

Good morning,

One ridge of high pressure pushes east away into the North Sea, whilst another lies over the Atlantic ready to build across Britain by Friday. In between, a trough of low pressure passes across northern Britain today.

This brings a risk of occasional showers, which may break out over central England and track north-eastwards in the afternoon, although very hit and miss. Most places will stay dry with good spells of sunshine.

Outbreaks of rain also affect western Scotland and Northern Ireland as an occluded front moves in from the Atlantic. Bursts of rain on this front are likely to pass east across northern & central Britain overnight into Friday.

A south to south-westerly breeze, strongest in the west. Top temperatures 16 to 19C north & north-west, 20 to 23C central, southern & eastern regions.

Have a great day.
Garry
