Dry for many

Rain and drizzle developing west & north-west

Good morning,

Low pressure lies to the north-west of Scotland today, whilst a ridge of high pressure topples south-eastwards across England & Wales.

Dry for many places throughout the day, but fairly cloudy. Early drizzle in the south-east will soon fade. Some early sun in the north, then breaking through gradually elsewhere into the afternoon, although expect partly cloudy skies overall.

A warm front moves into north-west, bringing thickening cloud and drizzly rain to western Scotland. Later rain turns more persistent across Ireland, extending to Wales as a cold front pushes in from the Atlantic.

Today's top temperatures will be 16 to 19C in the north & west, 20 to 22C Midlands, up to 23C south-east.

Have a great day.
