Dry and sunny western Europe, cold and unsettled in the east
A dry and bright day for Portugal, Spain and the Balearic Islands. Starting dry and bright for Italy too but rain develops later to the northeast and spreads south across central and southern parts of the country. A cloudier day for Greece and Turkey with isolated showers to the west. Outbreaks of rain and snow affect northern and eastern parts of Turkey.
Wintry showers for eastern parts of France, the Low Countries and Germany on Tuesday. These tending to ease through the day. Heavier, more peristent outbreaks of snow over the Alps. Early rain clears Slovakia and Hungary leaving a bright day with wintry showers here and for much of Poland and the Czech Republic too.
A dull day for Denmark with frequent showers. Brighter and mostly dry for the Baltic States though Lithuania could see occasional showers. A mostly dry and bright day across Norway, Sweden and Finland. Wintry showers affect southern parts of Norway and Sweden through the morning and western parts of Norway through the afternoon and evening.
A fair day in Spain and Portugal with plenty of sunshine. Staying dry in the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia. Heavy showers affecting central and southern Italy although dry in the north. Further heavy showers and cold weather for Greece and Turkey where rain could be heavy in the west.
Fine through France with a morning frost and then lots of sunshine. The Low Countries and Germany should be dry too, frosty at first and then dry and sunny. Breezy in Poland where it should be dry too. Windy for Hungary and Austria as well as much of Switzerland, a few showers here and there.
Denmark will be breezy with sunny spells. Dry in the Baltic States with sunny spells here. Scattered showers for Finland. Wintry showers in northern Sweden. Heavier showers for western Norway, these falling as sleet and snow in the north.
