Unsettled around the eastern Med.
High pressure extends across western and central Europe, producing extensively quiet weather. Warm sunshine and a light southerly breeze for Spain and Portugal, highs around 20C in the west of Iberia. A chilly start for France, the Low Countries, Germany and northern Italy with frost and patchy fog. Staying dry all day with sunshine. A brisk northerly breeze for southern Italy and the Balkans will feel cool.
Low pressure centred around the Black Sea maintains chilly and unsettled conditions for the eastern Mediterranean, Turkey and Greek Islands. Areas of rain and snow over higher terrain. Cool with showers for Poland and Belarus as a front passes eastwards.
Denmark and southern Sweden will be windy but dry. Some rain and mountain snow for west and northern Norway. Scattered showers around Baltic coasts. Chilly across the far north with snow and hail coming in northwesterly winds.
Weak fronts coming in from the Atlantic bring cloud and patchy rain for Portugal, but most of Spain stays dry and warm. High pressure drifts across central-northern Europe, maintaining settled weather for France, the Alps, Low Countries and Germany. Some local morning fog patches and frost, but leading to a mild day with sunshine. Also generally dry for Italy and the Balkans.
A cooler northerly flow affects eastern Europe, with areas of showers for Romania and Slovakia, snow over the Carpathian Mountains. Temperatures staying near or below freezing across Ukraine and Belarus and the Baltic states. Unsettled and cool for Turkey and Cyprus with low pressure in charge. Also cool for Greece with a few showers.
Quiet weather for southern Scandinavia. Fronts passing across northern areas bring some rain and snow to northern Norway and moving into Finland from the west.
