Morning Call - February 04, 2020
Chilly, windy start
Dry afternoon

Issued: 0530hrs Tuesday 4th February 2020
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Mist and murk slowly clearing, then mostly dry with some sunny spells

Good morning,

A chilly and breezy morning over England and Wales. Broken cloud together with a few showers in northern England and the hills of Wales. Winds could be in excess of gale force in the east. best of the sunshine in more southern areas. Cold too in Scotland but less breezy. A few wintry showers over coasts of the northeast of Scotland where it will be windy too.

Winds ease this afternoon. Most showers should fade as well, although always the risk of isolated showers in northwest Scotland and East Anglia. Sunny spells for most and feeling cool. Becoming frosty overnight under clearer skies. Increasingly cloudy in western Scotland and Northern Ireland, a lower frost risk here.
