Limited sunshine

After an unsettled start, high pressure to the north tends to dominate the weather this week. Brisk north east winds though will make it feel quite chilly and will bring in a good deal of cloud along with some widely, scattered light showers though may areas will be predominately dry.

Tuesday 02/05/17
Expect a good deal of cloud across much of the country with scattered showers and patchy rain. Much of this will be light and patchy. Brisk north east winds will make it feel chilly. Mainly dry overnight with cloud persisting across England and Wales. Clear spells develop across Scotland. Expect high of 10 to 14C.

Wednesday 03/05/17
It remains chilly in those north east winds. In the far south of England it may stay cloudy with a few showers. Fine and dry for the rest of Britain with sunny spells. A dry night to come with clear spells for many. Highs of 11 to 15C.

 
 
 

Thursday 04/05/17
North east winds continue to make it feel chilly. Any early sunshine gives way to lots of cloud and showers tend to develop across much of the country. Windy into the evening and night with the odd shower in the south. Expect highs of 10 to 13C.

 
 
 

Friday 05/05/17
Another breezy day is expected with winds out of the north east. For Wales along with central and southern parts of England it's looking cloudy with a few light showers. To the north it will be dry with good sunny spells. A cloudy night with some patchy rain and drizzle in the east. Highs of 12 to 15C.
 

Saturday 06/05/17
A mostly cloudy day in store for Britain with scattered, light rain showers. Few if any showers to affect Scotland and Northern Ireland. Any showers fade in the evening ahead of a dry night. Highs of 11 to 14C.

Sunday 07/05/17
It appears to remain largely cloudy across much of the country today. There remains the risk of a few showers across central and eastern areas with the best of any sunshine in the far west of Britain. Expect highs of 11 to 15C.
