Rain mainly in NW at first

A cell of high pressure will be the main feature of the weather for the first part of this next week. Little in the way of rain is forecast with most of it reserved for the north west. From Friday it looks more unsettled with rain expected for most. Temperatures will drop from above normal to below normal with an increased risk of fog and frost. Mid week turns milder before we get another cold north wind dropping temperatures again by the end of the forecast period.

Wednesday 02/11/16
A brisk north west wind will make it feel cold with below normal temperatures. Lots of fine, dry weather to come with long sunny spells. More cloud to affect the west. A colder, clear night with a frost across England and Wales. Cloudy across Scotland with rain in the north. Expect high temperatures of 9 to 11C.


Thursday 03/11/16
It continues cold into Thursday. Some rain across Northern Ireland and north west Scotland. Dry for the rest of Britain with the best of the sunshine in the south and east. Not as cold by night under cloudy skies. Highs of 8 to 11C.

 
 
 


Friday 04/11/16
Breezy as temperatures recover to normal values. Generally a cloudy day with sporadic bits of light rain in places - mainly dry for eastern England. The night looks wet with heavier rain possible across the country. Very windy in the south and a mild night to come. Highs of 8 to 11C.
 


Saturday 05/11/16
It appears to be a very windy day but milder for England and Wales. Heavy morning rain clears by the afternoon but lingers across Scotland. Occasional showers then in the west. As it clears Scotland it turns colder in the north as strong north east winds develop. Another pulse of rain to come across the south in the night. Highs of 6 to 13C.
 


Sunday 06/11/16
Colder and the strong north winds will make it feel even colder. Early rain clears the south to sunny spells. A few showers to affect the coasts, these wintry over the hills of northern Scotland. Elsewhere its dry and sunny. Highs of 6 to 10C.

Monday 07/11/16
It continues breezy and rather cold with further showers around the coasts and over the hills of the north m these will be wintry. Dry for the rest of Britain with sunny spells. A risk of a widespread frost for the night. Expect highs of 5 to 9C.
