Cool and windy north; warmer south-east
Good morning,
A broad area of low pressure is centred over eastern England today, and a slow moving occluded front affects Scotland and the Irish Sea.
Persistent rain for Scotland, heaviest in the east, plus frequent outbreaks for Northern Ireland, western England & much of Wales. Brighter toward the south-east, although a few showers possible for central Britain.
Strong to gale force north to north-easterly winds for Scotland & the Irish Sea & south-west. Gusty at times elsewhere, mainly around coasts, but much lighter winds for central England.
Today's top temperatures will only reach 12 or 13C where rain persists in the west & north, but nearer 16 to 19C in central & eastern England, locally 20 or 21C.
Have a great day. Garry
