Rain and wind in northern and western Europe, more rain in the eastern Mediterranean


Thursday
Heavy periods of rain in Portugal and northern Spain on Thursday, dry to the south and east. There will be good spells of sunshine for the balearics and also for Corsica and Sardinia. Italy should be fair although with mist and fog patches in sheltered areas. Breezy with rain in Greece whilst rain and strong winds also affect much of Turkey. Germany, but southern and eastern Germany should be dry. Poland will be windy and dry with this breezy weather extending into Austria, Hungary and Switzerland.
Strong winds, cloud and outbreaks of rain in Denmark. Windy and dry through the Baltic States. Cloud and outbreaks of rain affecting much of Sweden today with further wind and rain for Norway.

Friday
Mainly fair over Spain and Portugal on Friday, good spells of sunshine and dry too. A scattering of showers in the Balearics with rain affecting Corsica and Sardinia. Italy should be mostly fair but there will be some showers in the northwest. Greece should be dry with sunshine although heavy showers and rain trouble Turkey.
Showers in France, some of them heavy with rain in the far north. The Low Countries will be breezy with a mix of bright spells and some showers. Fair in western Germant but rain in the east. Poland will be mostly fair but there could be some rain in the west.
Windy with sunshine and mostly dry weather in Denmark. Rain affects eastern Sweden where there will be strong winds too. Windy but dry in the Baltic States and Finland. Windy for Norway wit rain in the west.
