Widespread thunderstorms affect eastern Europe

Sunday
Staying dry, sunny and warm for Spain, Portugal and the Balearic Islands, with the warmest temperatures in the south and west. A few showers for central and southern Italy but otherwise dry and fine. Northern parts of Greece and Turkey could also see some locally heavy showers but staying dry, sunny and warm to the south.
A band of patchy rain works its way across northwestern France, the Low Countries and into western Germany on Sunday. A dry and fine day for eastern Germany. A few showers affect Switzerland and Austria while an area of low pressure brings frequent thundery and heavy outbreaks of rain to Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia.
A front brings rain into southern parts of Norway and Sweden but it stays dry and fine to the north of this and for Finland as high pressure domintates. Mainly dry too for Denmark. Staying dry and fine too for the northern Baltic States but lower pressure brings unsettled conditions into the south.

Monday
Dry, warm and sunny across Portugal, Spain, the Balearic Islands, Corsica, Sardinia and Italy on Monday though a few showers may develop to the far south of Italy and for Sicily later. Warm too for Greece and Turkey though widespread, locally heavy and thundery, showers develop across Greece and northern Turkey later.
Early patchy rain across southwestern parts of France and Germany fades to leave a dry and fine day here and for the Low Countries. Light patchy rain affects parts of Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic at times too. Outbreaks of rain, this locally heavy and thundery, affects Poland, Slovakia and Hungary though this slowly clears east through the afternoon and evening.
A band of rain continues to affect southern parts of Norway and Sweden on Monday though it stays dry and fine to the north of this and for Finland. Early rain clears from Denmark to leave a fine day here while heavy outbreaks of rain continue to affect the southern Baltic States.
