High pressure brings more settled weather to western and central Europe
Patchy rain affecting Portugal and the far west of Spain on Friday. Fair in most of Spain though with lots of sunshine. Scattered showers over Corsica and Sardinia. The showers affecting southern Italy too, where they may be locally heavy. Greece will have lots of sunshine, although some rain in the far north and across the southern Balkans. Turkey should be dry with plenty of sunshine.
Breezy in France and dry here with plenty of sunshine. Remaining dry in the Low Countries, more sunshine here. Showers affecting eastern Germany with heavy, more frequent showers in Poland. These showers will be affecting Hungary and Austria too as well as Switzerland and Slovakia but they tend to ease through the day.
A cold day in Denmark with a stiff northwest breeze and sunny spells together with isolated showers. Breezy for the Baltic States with some showers or rain here. Further showers and outbreaks of rain in Finland. Sweden will be wet in the northeast, drier in the elsewhere. Some wintry showers in western and northern Norway. Breezy here too.
Patchy rain continues to affect Portugal and spreads to western and central parts of Spain. Staying dry and sunny to the east and for the Balearic Islands, Corsica and Sardinia. Early rain fades over southern Italy and Sicily to leave a dry and fine day here. Showery outbreaks of rain affect the southern Balkans and Greece and spread to western Turkey.
High pressure brings a dry and fine day to much of Europe. Bright conditions for France, the Low Countries, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Bright spells for Poland with the chance of scattered showers here.
Dry and fine but cool for Denmark, southern Norway and southern Sweden. Showers, some wintry, affect northern parts of Norway and Sweden. Showery too for the Baltic States while more persistent outbreaks of rain and sleet affect Finland.
