Warmest on Tuesday

Low pressure and it's associated weather fronts are expected to give Britain quite an unsettled week with spells of locally heavy rain and some heavy showers. Apart from a warm day on Tuesday, temperatures are expected to be close to normal though turning chilly later.

Wednesday 17/05/17
An area of rain across East Anglia and the south east in the morning may turn heavier in the afternoon as it drifts into much of Wales and England. Scattered showers are expected across Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales with the rest of Britain dry. Overnight much of Britain may be cloudy with some patchy rain around. Less warm today. Expect high of 14 to 18C.


Thursday 18/05/17
Expect it to stay unsettled today. A number of showers are expected along with some bright or sunnier spells. Showers will fade from inland areas this evening, becoming confined to western coasts. Dry and cool overnight with clear spells. Expect highs of 13 to 17C.
 


Friday 19/05/17
An unsettled day to come across the United Kingdom. After a mainly dry, sunny start, cloud and frequent showers will develop this morning becoming more widespread and heavy in the afternoon. Showers again tend to become confined to western coasts for the evening then dry for most areas overnight. Look for highs of 13 to 17C.


Saturday 20/05/17
It continues unsettled today. Expect a mixture of sunny spells and showers, these turning more heavy for the afternoon across much of the United Kingdom. An area of persistent rain may affect the south east of England which may turn heavier in the evening and night as it moves into East Anglia. Highs of 15 to 18C.


Sunday 21/05/17
Confidence is rather low but models suggest and area of heavy rain may affect central and southern parts of England through the day and may also affect parts of Wales. Dreier to the north with a few light showers. Highs of 10 to 15C.

Monday 22/05/17
A chilly, windy day with a risk of heavy rain across England and Wales. Drier across Scotland and Northern Ireland with sunnier spells. The rain becomes much lighter across England and Wales tonight. Expect highs of 10 to 14C.
