Feeling chilly and breezy, a few spots of drizzle in the east and south

As a large anticyclone builds over Scandinavia the UK and Ireland are going to be in for a quiet week overall. However, the high pressure will be generating a chilly easterly wind, this strongest on eastern and southern coasts and hills. Mostly dry, although some spots of drizzle in the east and south at times.

Saturday 8/10/16
The area of high pressure remains over northern Scandinavia on Saturday. The fresh and chilly flow from the east will be continuing. There will be a fair amount of cloud too and this increasing the threat of spots of drizzle in central, eastern and southern areas of the UK and ireland. More western parts should be drier and brighter with some bright or sunny spells. Highs at 13 to 16C.

Sunday 9/10/16
High pressure remains in northern Scandinavia on Sunday. There could be more cloud in eastern, central and southern England with some outbreaks of rain and drizzle. Staying fair in western Scotland, although some cloud and spots of drizzle in eastern Ireland and Scotland. Temperatures at 12 to 15C.
 

Monday 10/10/16
Little changes on Monday with higher pressure over Scandinavia again. This brings a northeast flow to the UK and Ireland. Cloud and some outbreaks of patchy rain and drizzle in the east and south, but brighter and drier in the west. Tops at 11 to 15C.

 
 
 

Tuesday 11/10/16
Higher pressure remains over Scandinavia on Tuesday. This is going to be bringing another mostly dry day in the west. Eastern and southern areas may have some spots of rain and drizzle, but the north and west should be dry and brighter. Highs at 11 to 14C.

Wednesday 12/10/16
The northeasterly flow continues through Wednesday. with high pressure centred over southern parts of Norway and Sweden. Some cloud and patchy rain in eastern areas of Scotland and England. Drier elsewhere with broken cloud, the best of any brightness in the west. Cool again at 11 to 15C.

Thursday 13/10/16
Little changes on Thursday. A cold east to northeast wind brings cloud and some outbreaks of rain in eastern and southern areas. Drier and brighter to the north and west with some brighter skies here. Highs at 11 to 15C.
