Mainly dry, lots of sunshine

A strong cell of high pressure is expected to build in across Britain and is expected to dominate for much of the upcoming week. Some rain and showers to come across northern Scotland and Northern Ireland at times. Temperatures are expected to become above normal.

Much of England and Wales will remain fine, warm and dry with good spells of sunshine. More cloud and windy across Scotland and Northern Ireland with a few widely, scattered rain showers. Most places will be dry overnight with mist patches developing by morning. Expect high of 17 to 24C.

Thursday 25/05/17
Apart from a few scattered showers over the hills of Scotland, any mist patches clear then expect a fine, dry and warm day with sunny spells. Dry and clear overnight with fog patches by morning developing across southern England. Expect highs of 20 to 24C.

 
 
 

Friday 26/05/17
Very warm across Britain. Rather breezy across south west England and Wales. Most areas will stay dry with lots of sunshine. Just a few showers to develop over northern Scotland and Northern Ireland. Fine into the evening and night. Look for highs of 20 to 25C.

Sunday 28/05/17
Another warm day to come. Occasional heavy showers to affect Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland. Dry across England and Wales with a few sunnier spells but with a good deal of cloud. An area of showers may track south overnight. Highs of 16 to 24C.

Monday 29/05/17
Not as warm today. A few showers to come across north west Scotland. Most parts of Britain will be fair and dry with lots of sunshine. Fine and dry overnight with clear spells. Expect highs of 15 to 20C.
