Remaining Very Warm and Dry
Isolated Thunderstorm Risk

Very warm and very dry conditions are now set to prevail throughout much of the forecast period.

Monday 02/07/18
Mainly dry conditions will prevail across many areas of N England, Scotland and N Ireland with sunny spells and all areas remaining very warm and increasingly humid too. While the remainder of England and Wales will also be mainly dry, there will be a low risk of a few heavy showers across SW England in particular. Highs 17C to 25C.

Tuesday 03/07/18
At the moment fine weather is expected to be maintained across most areas into next Tuesday as high pressure now looks set to remain the dominant feature. A few isolated heavy showers or thunderstorms can't be ruled out across SW England, but, otherwise dry and warm or very warm conditions will prevail across many regions. Highs 18C to 26C.

Wednesday 04/07/18
It is now likely that high pressure will remain the dominant feature maintaining the prolonged run of dry weather across many areas, but especially across more central and northern regions of the UK. With lower pressure still likely to be situated just to the south or south-west, then a few isolated heavy showers are possible across the far south and south-west. Highs 18C to 26C.

Thursday 05/07/18
Lower pressure may well move into the UK from the west or south-west through the course of Thursday to bring an increased risk of some locally heavy and perhaps thundery showers, perhaps focused across parts of England, Wales and Ireland while Scotland remains mainly dry. Many areas still warm with sunny spells at times too. Highs 17C to 25C.

Friday 06/07/18
A lot of dry weather is still forecast to be maintained by next Friday at the moment despite a risk of some further locally heavy and perhaps thundery showers developing in places. Still warm across many areas, perhaps even very warm across England and Wales. Highs 18C to 26C.

Saturday 07/07/18
A ridge of high pressure may well return into the UK from the west or south-west through the day to bring further mainly dry conditions and also lead to a lower risk of showers than compared with the previous few days. Temperatures are uncertain but they may be somewhat cooler by this point, than of late, despite still being warm. Highs 17C to 23C.
