Tuesday
A front brings cloud and outbreaks of rain to northern and western England and Wales on Tuesday. The rain is likely to be light and patchy in eastern areas, but a few moderate bursts over western hills and slopes. Drier and mild in central and southeast England. Windy with showers in western Scotland, some of these heavy. Drier in eastern Scotland and central Ireland with sunny periods here. Highs at 23C in southeast England, 14C in northwest Scotland.


Tuesday Night
A wet night in much of northern England, Wales and the far southwest. Wet too in southern Ireland. Rain could be heavy at times over western facing hills. Patchy rain for the Midlands and East Anglia whilst southern England stays dry. Fresher and drier weather in Scotland and Northern Ireland although some showers in northern and western Scotland. Winds in northern Scotland too. Lows near 6C in central Scotland, 12C in southern England.


Wednesday
A cold front brings cloud and rain across East Anglia, the Midlands and southwest England on Wednesday. Brighter weather further north with sunny spells and mostly dry weather. Breezier for Scotland and Northern Ireland where there will be some sunshine but also some showers in west. The showers could be heavy. A chilly start to the day in Scotland with temperatures by day around 14 to 16C, a cool 17C in much of central and southern England and Wales.


Thursday
Low pressure passes to the north of Scotland on Thursdays with higher pressur remaining to the south of the UK. This brings mainly fair weather to much of the Uk and eastern Ireland with sunny spells. Showers in western Scotland and western Ireland, a few in northwest England too. Windy in Scotland at 21C in southern England but just 14C in western Scotland.
