A weakening cold front slips southwards. Rain or drizzle on and off in western regions of England & Wales, tending to fade. Very little rain reaching east and south-east England, where there should be some cloud breaks and a little sun. Frequent showery rain for western Scotland, but drier and brighter toward the east. Brief showers for Northern Ireland. A southwesterly breeze, strongest in northern areas. Highs 18 to 22C Midlands and south, 13 to 17C north & west.

Sunday night
Many places will be dry with variable cloud and clear spells. High pressure builds slightly across southern Britain, which may allow some lengthy clear spells. Where winds fall light local fog patches may form by dawn. A fresher westerly breeze in northern Britain. Rain remains frequent for western Scotland, but very little reaching east of the Highlands. Mainly dry across Ireland. Lowest temperatures 8 to 12C, locally 5C in sheltered rural areas in the north & west.

Monday
High pressure lies to the south of Britain, whilst fronts move back into the north-west. Dry with sunshine in the south & east of England and Wales, and largely dry in eastern Scotland too. Cloudy skies and drizzly rain developing later for north-west England, also west Wales. Rain becomes more persistent for Northern Ireland and western Scotland. A strengthening southwesterly breeze, strongest around western coasts. Temperatures 16 to 23C, warmest south-east.

Tuesday
A very warm and humid day for south-east England, with some sunshine. A front is expected to lie across northern England and Wales, producing cloudy skies and patchy rain, mostly affecting western hills. A few drizzly showers for western Scotland, but generally dry east of the Highlands. A west or southwesterly breeze. Temperatures ranging from 13 to 17C across northern Britain, but up to 20C for many southern areas, and locally 23 to 26C south-east.
