Thursday
Showers developing, mainly later on in the day, across southern and eastern areas of England and becoming widespread through Wales, some heavy and thundery. Showers or longer spells of rain expected to affect eastern and southern regions of Ireland too, heavy in the far south. Some rain to start across Northern Ireland but it will soon clear up with sunny spells. Scotland and northern England will stay mainly dry with sunny spells albeit with possible low cloud across eastern coasts again. Hot still in the south and southeast of England at 33C. Warm in the northwest and west at 24C. Cooler in the east at 18C.

Thursday night
Overnight, it will remain dry across Scotland, Northern Ireland, northern and central Ireland and much of northern England. Further south expect the heavier and thundery showers to continue across Wales, much of central and southern England as well as southwest Ireland. Showers could ease off around these areas for a time but through the early hours look to become heavy again across southeast England. Warm and muggy still in the south at 20C. Cooler further north with lows at 13C here.

Friday
With low pressure over England expect cloudy skies and patchy outbreaks of rain to affect England, Wales as well as eastern and southern Ireland once again. Heaviest of the showers look likely in the southeast of England. Staying dry further north under ridging high pressure with plenty of sunshine. Warm in the northwest and Ireland at 21C, cooler further northeast. Cooler temperatures than of late in the south with highs at 25C.

Saturday
A rather cloudy day across England as well as southern Ireland with showery outbreaks of rain in places, some could become heavy later on in the afternoon in the far south and southeast of England. Mainly dry conditions and sunny spells across Scotland and elsewhere over England and Wales, albeit Wales could see thicker cloud and a risk of showers developing in places. Feeling warm for many places. Highs range from 19C to 26C.
