Monday
A dry and bright start to Monday for many although western regions of the British Isles will see patchy cloud and scattered showers. These showers will become more widespread through the day with potentially the odd heavier burst in the southeast later on. Ireland will see thicker cloud develop during the afternoon in advance of more persistent rain moving in from the west. Highs 16 to 22C.

Monday night
Overnight, rain will spread across Ireland and Northern Ireland and on into western Scotland and western and central parts of Wales. Southwesterly winds will also strengthen. Elsewhere, it will be largely dry once those showers fizzle out, but cloud will thicken from the west. Clear spells throughout in the south and far east of the UK. Lows 9 to 13C, locally lower over the mountains.

Tuesday
Rain across the north and west as well as spreading into Wales through Tuesday and could fall heavy with persistent spells across northwest Ireland and western and southwestern Scotland. It will stay dry in the far south and southeast but with cloud building in places. Southern Ireland should only get scattered showers and see sunny spells. Brisk southwesterly winds. Highs 17 to 22C.

Wednesday
A wet and generally unsettled day on Wednesday for the north and the west. Outbreaks of rain affecting Ireland and Northern Ireland should clear in the afternoon however to allow for dry and fine conditions to develop behind. Central southern and southeastern areas of England should stay dry throughout with sunny spells. Expect a brisk southwesterly wind still for many. Highs of around 20C in the north and warming up in the southeast with highs around 25C.
