UK Forecast - December 16, 2016
Dry for most
A lot of cloud, some sun

Saturday
High pressure extends across central & southern Britain, bringing quiet but rather dull weather for many southern areas. The remnants of a front may produce local patches of drizzle for the Midlands and south. Sunshine should break through across northern England and areas around the Irish Sea. A south-westerly breeze toward the north brings a little rain to north-west Scotland. Winds very light elsewhere. Highs 7 to 10C.

Saturday night
Outbreaks of rain will move across northern Scotland overnight, most persistent in the north-west Highlands. Elsewhere it will stay dry, apart from isolated pockets of drizzle in the south. Variable cloud, but clear spells developing which may allow temperatures to dip low enough for a slight frost in rural areas. Fog is likely to form in low lying areas, particularly central-southern Britain. Lows 1 to 5C.

Sunday
High pressure remains across the south. Another dry day for most places. A lot of cloud overall, and some low level fog patches which may be slow to clear. Some sun may break through locally. A little rain possible in western Scotland. A fresh south-westerly breeze in the north-west, but winds very light elsewhere. Top temperatures 6 to 8C, or nearer 10C around the coasts. Locally cooler where fog persists.

Monday
Staying dry for most with high pressure remaining in charge, but expect extensive low cloud, or fog in some areas, which may persist throughout the day. Weak fronts drifting in from the west may produce a little drizzle. Very little wind overall. A touch of frost in the morning where skies cleared overnight. Daytime temperatures 5 to 9C.
