A hot and sunny day ahead through England and Wales. Thickening cloud in Scotland, northwest England and the west of Wales this evening, with the risk of an isolated shower this evening. Ireland is going to have more cloud and outbreaks of patchy rain here, this affecting western parts of Scotland. Good spells of sunshine in eastern Scotland through the morning, but the cloud increases here into the afternoon. Highs at 26C in southeast England, widely 28 to 31C and to 24C in Scotland and much of eastern Ireland.

Cloud increases through tonight over much of Britain. Thundery bursts of rain affecting northern England and Scotland, perhaps even an isolated thundery shower in central parts of England and over Wales.tending to become fresher across Ireland and western parts of Britain, although staying very warm in more eastern and southern areas. Lows near 10C in Ireland and western Scotland, 19C in southeast England.

Saturday
Higher pressure remains close to Scotland on Saturday. A very warm day again with good spells of sunshine. Cloud does increase in the afternoon and there is a risk of some isolated thundery showers foring over central and eastern parts of England later. Dry in most of Ireland and Scotland as well as the west of England and much of Wales. Breezier in England later. Highs at 35C in southeast England, 19C in northwest Scotland, widely 23 to 29C, cooler on eastern coasts.

Sunday
Lower pressure to the south of England on Sunday with higher pressure close to Scotland. This results in an easterly flow across much of the UK and Ireland. Broken cloud and some bright or sunny spells. There will be some showery outbreaks of rain in central and northern England, an odd crack of thunder too. Drier elsewhere with the best of the sunshine in northern Scotland. Tops at 17C in eastern Scotland and the coasts of northeast England, 35C in southern areas, widely 20 to 24C.
