Staying dry with the best sunshine further west

Cloud in the east continues to feed in from the North Sea, extending into the Midlands and southern areas of England in the morning. More of Scotland could also see thicker cloud too during the morning. West is best for the sun.

As the day progresses much of the cloud will break up allowing sunshine to develop, though northern Scotland could stay largely cloudy. A brisker wind along southern English counties continues.

Thicker cloud through northern Scotland could bring an odd spot of light rain overnight, otherwise it will be dry with variable cloud cover. Best of the clear skies further west.
