North is dry

Tuesday
Cloudy for eastern parts of England on Tuesday as a weak front affects the area. There may be a few spots of rain early on, before these turning to showers late morning and into the afternoon. Scattered showers over Wales and southwest England too, although dry for other parts of England with sunny spells. Showers, some thundery develop this afternoon across most of England and Wales. For Scotland and Ireland the day starts dry and mostly bright. Showers form in central Scotland and the north and west of Ireland in the afternoon, but most other areas stay dry. Highs at 15C in southeast England, more widely 12 to 14C.


Tuesday Night
Showers fading away rather quickly this evening. Clear spells in the west and north, cloudier across eastern England. The longest of the clearer spells will be in Scotland, Wales and Ireland where there is a risk of a touch of ground frost by the morning. Lows here around 1 to 3C, nearer 7C in southeast England.
 


Wednesday
A slack pressure flow affects most of the British Isles on Wednesday. There will be some decent spells of sunshine for most areas and it should be dry. Thicker cloud affecting western Ireland in the afternoon as a front edges in from the Atlantic, this cloud may bring some spots of rain towards evening. Other areas staying dry further sunny spells. Highs at 12 to 16C.
 


Thursday
High pressure to the north of Scotland on Thursday, low pressure to the south. There may be some cloud across southern England and Wales, although this breaks to leave some bright or sunny spells. Fair for northern and western areas with sunny spells to come here and staying mostly dry. Scattered showers could develop in central and northern England later. Highs at 11 to 14C.
