March is on the whole a colder looking month. Our first post winter cold snap arrives next week and this may not be the only one thrugh the month. Wintry precipitation under colder conditions is more likely.
*6/3/23 - 12/3/23* Wintry cold snap. Northerly winds, frost and ice. Snow to lower levels. Cold daytime highs. Feeling subzero where exposed to the wind.
*13/3/23 - 19/3/23* A relatively milder Atlantic flow. Mixed to unsettled weather across the country. Showers as well as longer spells of rain. Snow possible in the north. Milder in south though staying chilly in the north.
*20/3/23 - 26/3/23* A more settled week with more dry days expected. Though western areas more prone to some rain and or showers. A milder southerly wind flow in the south. A colder north-east/easterly wind flow in the north. Wintry showers possible further north and over higher ground.
*27/3/23 - 3/4/23* Atlantic lower pressure moves in again. More mixed to at times unsettled. Rain and showers frequent through the week. A cold week with an easterly wind developing. Precipitation would turn increasingly wintry, particularly further east.
