Cold and unsettled to start the week, then drier and milder later

An unsettled few days ahead as low pressure drifts into the UK. This is going to be bringing rain and showers for many, heavy at times and falling as wintry showers in the hills. By the end of the week pressure is going to be building and this willbring drier conditions and milder weather too.

Thursday 23/3/17
Low pressure will be drifting to the south of the UK on Thursday. This is going to be bringing showers and sunny spells for many, although an area of more persistent rain may eastern parts of Scotland. Showers too in the far west of Wales, southwest England and eastern Scotland. Elsewhere feeling chilly with sunny spells. Highs at 6 to 11C.

Friday 24/3/17
High pressure extends from the Atlantic to Scandinavia on Friday. This brings plenty of dry weather and sunny spells. Southern England is likely to be seeing more in the way of cloud and some outbreaks of rain. Breezy here too and cool. Highs at 9 to 12C.

 
 
 

Saturday 25/3/17
High pressure remains across the country on Saturday. This brings another mostly fair day. The best of the sunshine is going to be in western oarts of England and Wales. More eastern and southern areas are probably going to be cloudier, although brighter spells here too. Breezy in the south. Highs at 11 to 14C.
 

Sunday 26/3/17
Pressure stays high on Sunday. Decent spells of sunshine for many, again the best of them in the west. More eastern and southern areas seeing some cloud and remaining windy in the south too. Highs at 11 to 15C.

Monday 27/3/17
High pressure stays over northern Scotland on Monday. It is going to be dry with good spells of sunshine. More southern and eastern areas could see some cloud, although the best sun to the north and west. Highs at 11 to 15C.

Tuesday 28/3/17
There could be some outbreaks of rain in southern England and Ireland on Tuesday. More northern areas will be brighter with good spells of sunshine here. Highs near 12 to 15C.
