Varying temperatures, some mild day, mixed overall

Staying mild through Friday and Saturday although turning cooler and more unsettled by Sunday. A ridge of high pressure builds early in the new week with mainly dry weather for most. Hints of turning more unsettled into the middle to later stages of the week.

Sunday 12/3/17
Low pressure develops over the UK on Sunday. This is going to rejuvenate a front bringing some more persistent rain and the risk of heavy bursts too. There is uncertainty over where the most persistent of the rain may be, although at the present time it is likely to be central and eastern areas of the UK that see most of it. Rainfall more showery in the west of the UK and Ireland with the showers gradually fading and brighter weather developing. Highs at 9 to 12C.

Monday 13/3/17
A ridge of high pressure builds through the UK and Ireland on Monday. This brings a fair day with sunny spells for many eastern and southern areas. However, weak fronts could affect western areas bringing some cloud and patchy rain here, most of this in western Scotland and Ireland. Highs at 10 to 14C.
 

Tuesday 14/3/17
Cloud and some spots of drizzle for Scotland and Ireland on Tuesday as a weak front edges eastwards. Drier and brighter to the south and east with sunny spells here. Mild to the south too. Highs at 9C in northern Scotland, 16C in southern England.

 
 
 

Wednesday 15/3/17
Low pressure brings more persistent rain into Scotland and Ireland on Wednesday. It is likely to be windy in Scotland too. Staying drier in the east and south with bright spells. Highs at 9 to 13C

Thursday 16/3/17
Low pressure passes east on Thursday bringing an unsettled day. There will be cloud and rain, some of it heavy together with some stronger winds. Highs at 7 to 9C.

Friday 17/3/17
The westerly wind brings showers or longer spells of rain to Scotland on Friday. Probably drier ot the south although always a risk of showers on western coasts and hills. Highs near 9 to 12C.
