Unsettled and chilly, snow on hills
A mixed week ahead as low pressure dominates the weather across the British Isles and Ireland. Bands of rain and showers will be crossing the country. Following will be colder air at times which wil be turning showers to snow over high ground in Scotland and northern England. It will be staying unsettled through the weekend and early into next week. Feeling chilly overall.

Thursday 2/3/17 Low pressure is going to be centred to the northwest of Scotland on Thursday. A weak ridge of high pressure builds over eastern areas with a moist southwest flow affecting all. There will be a fair amount of cloud and some outbreaks of rain and drizzle in the west, low cloud affecting the hills. Eastern areas stay cloudy and rather breezy, although some bright spells may break through in the afternoon. Highs at 7 to 11C.
Friday 3/3/17 Low pressure centred over the UK brings an unsettled day to all. There will be heavy showers rotating around the area of low pressure, these turning thundery at times. Snow could affect the hills of Scotland too with the showers prolonged in places too. Highs at 6 to 10C.
Saturday 4/3/17 Low pressure to the north of Scotland on Saturday. A moist southwest flow brings cloud and drizzly rain to western coasts and hills. More eastern areas tending to stay drier although with lots of cloud here. Highs at 7 to 10C.
Sunday 5/3/17 Low pressure is back over the UK and Ireland on Sunday. This is going to be bringing further periods of rain and showers as fronts wrap around the low. Sleet or snow could affect hills of southern Scotland and northern England. Highs at 4 to 11C.
Monday 6/3/17 Low pressure drifts away to the eat on Monday. Showers follow from the west, becoming heavy at times with a risk of snow on the hills. Probably drying up in the west later. Highs at 3 to 8C.
