Very warm or hot again

Thursday
A fine start to this morning with good spells of sunshine. Temperatures rising quickly again and becoming very warm or even hot. Some cloud bubbling up, most of this in the Midlands and northern England. Western Ireland will have thicker cloud and some outbreaks of rain, this edging eastwards through the day, although eastern areas should stay dry. Into this afternoon it stays very warm or hot across the UK. Isolated showers may develop in the Midlands later in the afternoon, these then spreading to northern England and Scotland through the evening. Highs at 23 to 28C for most but 33C in southeast England.


Thursday Night
An area of thundery showers clears southeast Scotland this evening. A further area of scattered thundery showers may move into southeast England and East Anglie later in the night. A band of showery rain passes east through Ireland and into western Scotland, just very patchy rain in west wales and southwest England later in the night. Lowest temperatures around 21C in southeast England, 10C in Ireland and Scotland, 14 to 17C elsewhere.


Friday
A trough brings thundery showers over the eastern Midlands and East Anglia on Friday morning, these heavy in places as they edge slowly east. A further band of rain through eastern parts of Northern Ireland and southwest England as well as the far west of Wales. Brighter and drier elsewhere and muggy in the UK. The thundery rain spreads north to be affecting much of northeast England and eastern Scotland in the afternoon, with the front to the west pushing showery rain into western Scotland, Wales and southwest England. Showers too in the west of Ireland although drier in the east of Ireland. Tops at 32C in East Anglia and the southeast, 17C in western Ireland, 21 to 25C for other parts.


Saturday
Some thundery rain affecting eastern Scotland and England on Saturday morning. Another area of showery rain in west Wales, northwest England and western Scotland, all heading eastwards, Showers in western Ireland. Drier for other areas with a brisk west wind and some sunny spells. The afternoon sees further heavy showers in Scotland and Ireland. Drier for eastern Scotland, northeast England, Wales and England. Cloud thickening in southwest England and southern Ireland ahead of overnight wind and rain here. Highs at a fresher 26C in southeast England, 18C in Ireland, wales, northern England and Scotland.
