Issued: Saturday 23rd July 2022 Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus
High pressure never really seems to go too far away seeing drier and warmer weather continue across the south and east for many as we head through the first half of August. More cloud and rain at times towards the north and west.
*25/7/22 - 31/7/22* Higher pressure builds across central and southern regions. Drier, sunnier and warmer across here. More mixed or unsettled conditions further north and west. Breezy at times and relatively cooler.
*1/8/22 - 7/8/22* The higher pressure retreats southwards more. Lower pressure moves down towards northern Scotland. Perhaps a more mixed week of weather. Wetter towards the north while staying largely dry furthest south. Cooler in the north while warmer further south.
*8/8/22 - 14/8/22* A ridge of high pressure may build in this week. Drier conditions extend further north. The far northwest continues to see rain and or showers. A warmer week for most.
*15/8/22 - 21/8/22* High pressure backs off. Average pressure pattern across the country and Europe. Atlantic lower pressure likely to bring rain to the north and west at times. Always drier, warmer and sunnier across the east and southeast.
