Risk of some frosts in early part of week

An unsettled week to come across Britain with Atlantic fronts and low pressure areas often bringing in spells of rain and gusty winds in from the west. Temperatures drop closer to normal on Monday but will rise to above normal from mid week as it turns mild again.

Wednesday 01/03/17
Wet across Wales and the southern half of England with outbreaks of heavy rain. Showers to affect the north, these wintry over the Highlands. Very windy in the evening and night. Expect high temperatures of 6 to 9C.

Thursday 02/03/17
Mild and quite breezy. Some bright or sunny spells around today. Heavy rain spills into Northern Ireland and northern Scotland late in the day. Overnight areas of rain may affect western areas along with the far south of England. Highs of 7 to 10C.

Very mild and increasingly windy with a good deal of cloud. Lots of showers to come, these mainly in the north and west. Brighter spells in the east. Mostly dry overnight. Highs of 7 to 11C.

 
 
 

Saturday 04/03/17
Cooler across the north but mild in the south. Rain across the north tends to turn more showery in the afternoon as it drops southward. Frosty across Scotland and northern England overnight. Highs of 6 to 10C.

 
 
 

Sunday 05/03/17
Sunday is mild Scattered showers to affect England, Wales and Northern Ireland along with some spells of sunshine. Dry across Scotland with sunny spells. Risk of an overnight frost. Highs of 8 to 10C.

Monday 06/03/17
Dry across much of Britain with good sunny spells after fog patches clear. It clouds over in the west later as an area of heavy rain spreads in during the evening and night. Expect highs of 7 to 11C.
