UK Forecast - February 10, 2017
Cold, windy and dull
Rain, sleet and snow

Saturday
Constant precipitation affects many places today, although total amounts generally small. At low levels, this will be mostly rain or sleet, and snow will struggle to stick - at most resulting in a dusting. Over higher ground, particularly the eastern Pennines, Scottish Borders and North York Moors, snow may accumulate around 5cm. A little sun in western Scotland. Some Feeling cold in brisk easterly winds, highs only 3 or 4C for many.

Saturday night
A continued easterly wind during the evening and night. Areas of rain, sleet and snow will persist for many hours locally, but amounts generally small. Extensive cloud cover for much of Britain & Ireland. Temperatures will hover around freezing point for most places, resulting in a risk of widespread ice. Where skies clear in the Scottish Highlands, temperatures may fall below -5C.

Sunday
Strong easterly winds will maintain the very cold feel for all regions. A lot of cloud again, and areas of rain, sleet or snow are likely to persist, in places for many hours. Over the higher Pennines, snow may be constant for much of the day. Scotland should generally fare better for lighter winds and brighter skies, best sunshine in the west Highlands. Temperatures just 2 to 4C for many areas, whilst the far south may reach 6C.

Monday
A chilly south-easterly breeze affects the British Isles, strongest in southern areas, particularly around English Channel coasts. Mostly cloudy, although a little sun may break through across southern areas, and sunshine perhaps more widespread to the lee of high ground in the north-west. A little drizzle in north-eastern areas. Patchy rain may come and go in the far south-west. Highs 4 to 8C, locally milder south-west.
