A further area of rain affecting northern Scotland, For other areas it is going to be a drier start to the day, some sunny spells and broken cloud. The best of the sunshine in the west. This afternoon sees further rain in northern and eastern Scotland but drier East Anglia and southeast England. Drier in western Scotland and Northern Ireland with some sunny spells. Mostly dry for England and Wales with further spells of sunshine, although a few showers over western coasts and hills. Highs at 18C in southeast England, 9C in northern Scotland.

Tuesday Night
Rain at first in eastern Scotland, slowly clearing east. Then dry for most with some broken cloud. A few showers over western casts and hills, but then this rain turning more persistent into the late part of the night in southern Ireland. Further showers in northern Scotland. Lows at 5C in northern Scotland, 9C in southern England.
 

Wednesday
Low pressure southwest of the UK on Wednesday. This brings rain into southern Ireland and the far south of England and Wales by this afternoon. The rain turning heavier into the evening. Drier and brighter in other areas with sunny spells, although some sunshine in the west. Further showers in northern and eastern Scotland as well as northeast England. Cloud steadily increasing in the south. Highs at 17C in East Anglia, 9C in northern Scotland, widely a cooler 12to 15C.

Thursday
Low pressure bringing rain to much of central and northern England today. The rain could be heavy in places. Perhaps drier in the far south of England, although a heavy showers is possible. Showers too in Ireland and the north of Scotland, although cold and brighter in central and southern Scotland. The north of Wales is likely to be wet too, although the far south may be drier. Highs at 10 to 16C and feeling cool for many.
