Looking changeable into next week
A settled few days developing and becoming warm over central and southern areas. Some rain and drizzle for Scotland at times, mainly in the west. Lowering pressure during the weekend into next week brings an increasing risk of showers.

Thursday 9/5/24 Pressure stays high to the south. Weak fronts drift across Scotland on light westerly breezes with more cloud overall and some drizzly rain mainly in the western Highlands. Dry with sunny spells for most of England and Wales, feeling warm inland. Light winds and sea breezes keeping coasts fresher. Highs 15 to 21C.
Friday 10/5/24 Staying dry and warm with a good deal of sunshine for many places. A weak front toward northern Scotland again may bring more cloud and some patchy rain to the far north. Light winds and sea breezes. Highs 16 to 22C.
Saturday 11/5/24 Many places likely remaining dry and warm with sunshine. Chance of local showers forming, more cloud toward the northwest. Light southerly breezes. Feeling warm, highs 16 to 23C.
Sunday 12/5/24 Increasing risk of showery bursts of rain toward the southwest. Drier to the east with some coastal low cloud. Southeasterly breezes. Staying quite warm, 17 to 22C.
Monday 13/5/24 Low pressure is back nearby to Britain and Ireland, bringing a risk of some rain or showers. Winds fairly light. Highs 15 to 19C.
Tuesday 14/5/24 Feeling fresher with a mix of sunny spells, broken cloud and a scattering of showers, most frequent toward the west. Highs 14 to 18C.
