Week ahead - January 18, 2021
Wet, rain, sleet & snow
Cooler for all later

Issued: 0800 Monday 18th January 2021
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Cool and unsettled, heavy rain, sleet and some snow, mainly in western and northern areas of England and Wales

An unsettled period of weather ahead as the jet stream drives fronts and areas of low pressure across the UK. A battle ground between warm air tro the south and cold air to the north means that there will be some sleet and snow for some areas. Cooler conditions for all by the end of the week.
