Friday 1/10/21 Low pressure remains to the northwest of Scotland on Friday. This brings strong winds and further bands of rain passing eastwards, the rain perhaps not clearing the southeast of England until evening. Brighter and drier weather follows from the west but there will also be heavy showers over western coasts and hills. Windy in Scotland with rain ion western areas and this is likely to be heavy at times too. Highs at 11 to 17C.
Saturday 2/10/21 Low pressure is expected to be to the north of Scotland on Saturday. This brings heavy periods of rain in Ireland with further rain in western Scotland and parts of Wales. Drier in eastern and southern areas. Windy for all, especially the west. Highs at 16C in the southeast but nearer 10 to 14C in the rain in the north and west.
Sunday 3/10/21 Low pressure is in control of the weather again through Sunday. Fronts wrapped around the low bring heavy periods of rain, this potentially lasting all day in central and northern Scotland. Showers and brighter spells following from the west, the showers heavy in the west. A windy day again. Highs at a chilly 10 to 13C.
Monday 4/10/21 Low pressure dominates again through Monday. This brings further showers to western and southern areas, the showers merging to longer spells of rain at times, some of them thundery. Eastern parts are likely to be brighter with fewer showers. Less breezy. Highs at 10 to 14C.
Tuesday 5/10/21 A brighter day with the winds turning towards the northwest. This brings a cool day with sunny spells. Scattered showers are likely with western and southern areas most at risk from these. Highs at 9 to 15C.
Wednesday 6/10/21 A ridge of high pressure may build through Wednesday. This brings a brighter day with sunny spells and dry weather. Increasing cloud in western areas bringing some drizzle to western Ireland and western Scotland where it will be turning windy too. Highs at 18C in the south, 14C in northwest Scotland.
