Conditions staying mixed with a definite autumnal feel this week

The weather remains unsettled throughout the coming week. Strong winds and rain will be affecting all areas at times and rain may lead to localised flooding, especially in those areas which have already been affected. Winds will be strong at times too. Temperatures stay close to average overall.

Tuesday 08/10/19
Low pressure remains northwest of Scotland on Tuesday bringing more rain with it, followed by sunny spells and showers, the heaviest and most persistent of them in western Scotland. Winds stay strong across the country. High temperatures at 11 to 17C.

Wednesday 09/10/19
An area of low pressure is expected to be to the north of Scotland on Wednesday. A mix of sunshine and showers for all parts of the UK and Ireland. The showers heaviest and most frequent in the west. Drier to the east. Breezy with highs at 10 to 16C.

 
 
 

Thursday 10/10/19
Low pressure remains north of Scotland on Thursday. More rain, showers and strong winds for all, most of the rain to the north and west. Drier to the south and east with some good spells of sunshine. High temperatures at 12 to 16C.

 
 
 

Friday 11/10/19
Low pressure stays to the north maintaining a westerly flow. Conditions remain mixed with sunny spells, frequent showers and strong winds to the west. Rain moving into central and southern England. Highs at 11 to 17C.

Saturday 12/10/19
Cloud and outbreaks of rain edge south over England followed to the north by sunshine and showers. Showers merge to give heavier bursts of rain over northwest Scotland. High temperatures ranging from 11 to 15C.

Sunday 13/10/19
Low pressure maintains mixed conditions with sunny spells and showers on Sunday before another front moves into the west bringing rain later. Drier for central and southern areas. Highs at 10 to 14C.
