Wind, rain and feeling chilly...autumn is here!

The weather remains unsettled throughout the week. Strong winds and rain will be affecting all areas, the rain leading to localised flooding, especially in those areas which have already been affected. Winds will be strong at times too. Temperatures stay close to average overall.

Saturday 5/10/19
Low pressure to the northwest of Ireland on Saturday. Cloud and heavy rain in western areas of the UK and Ireland. Brighter with some showers in western Ireland in the afternoon. Drier in central and eastern parts at first but cloud increasing in the afternoon as rain arrives later. Temperatures at 12 to 15C for most, but 17C in southern England and Ireland.

Sunday 6/10/19
A wet day is likely on Sunday as low pressure becomes slow moving over the UK and Ireland. Rain could be heavy at times and may lead to local flooding. Perhaps drier and brighter in Ireland and western parts of the UK. Highs at 10 to 13C in the rain, 15C in the brighter weather.
 

Monday 7/10/19
A fair day in eastern areas with a weak ridge of high pressure building here. Cloud, wind and rain into the west, gales in western Ireland. Highs at 12 to 16C.

 
 
 

Tuesday 8/10/19
Low pressure remains northwest of Scotland on Tuesday. This is going to be bringing more rain with it, followed by showers, the heaviest of them in Scotland and Ireland. Highs at 11 to 16C.

Wednesday 9/10/19
The area of low pressure is expected to be to the north of Scotland on Wednesday. A mix of sunshine and showers for all parts of the UK and Ireland. The showers heaviest in the west where they will be thundery. Breezy with highes at 12 to 16C.

Thursday 10/10/19
Low pressure is north of Scotland on Thursday. Mor rain, showers and strong winds for all, most of the rain to the north and west. Highs at 10 to 16C.
