Sunday 15/5/22
Another warm day for particularly southern regions of England on Sunday as winds become southerly. Many places staying dry with sunny spells but there is the risk of some heavy showery rain, perhaps thundery, moving northwards affecting southern then central parts of England and Wales. Highs at around 20 to 23C in the south and southeast, elsewhere 14 to 19C.

Outbreaks of rain push northwards up the country on Monday, rain falling heavy in places. Clearing from the south with sunshine developing across southern England and Wales later. The north of Scotland not seeing rain until evening. Highs at 15 to 22C for most, though slightly cooler across east Scotland and northeast England.

A rather muggy feeling day on Tuesday with rather a lot of cloud about for many, though bright and sunny spells are expected through south and southeastern parts of England. Outbreaks of rain look to affect western areas including parts of Ireland. There is much uncertainty on the extract track of the rain at this stage. Another warm day for many with highs at 15 to 24C.

Wednesday looks to see outbreaks of heavy rain affecting mainly western areas, likely with embedded thunderstorms, while eastern areas staying mostly dry with good sunshine and feeling particularly warm still. High pressure builds to the east bringing fair weather and some sunny spells. Low pressure west of Ireland pushes fronts eastwards giving some patchy rain to much of Ireland. A stream of showery rain, likely heavy for some, pushing across far southeastern areas of England. Highs at 18 to 23C.
