A very mixed spell of weather in the coming week. Periods of rain, sleet and snow and strong winds at times too. Some rain could be heavy in the west and south, with sleet and snow quickly turning back to rain. A tendency for cold air to try to flow back south through the UK, but this quickly swept away by milder Atlantic air. Ireland tending to stay milder overall.
