Very Dry Weather Set to Persist
Many Areas Warm or Very Warm

Very warm and very dry conditions are now set to prevail throughout much of the forecast period.

Sunday 08/07/18
Dry weather will continue across many areas as high pressure remains the dominant feature. All areas experiencing bright or sunny spells, these still prolonged at times too despite some variable cloud. A weak weather front nearing northern Scotland may bring some thicker cloud here, perhaps even with a little damp weather, but this the exception to the rule. All areas experiencing mainly light and variable winds and very warm too, especially inland, if not locally hot. Highs 21C to 29C.

Monday 09/07/18
At the moment fine weather is expected to be maintained across most areas into next Monday as high pressure now looks set to remain the dominant feature. A few isolated heavy showers or thunderstorms can't be ruled out across SW England, but, otherwise dry and very warm or hot conditions will prevail across many regions. Highs 21C to 30C.

Tuesday 10/07/18
It is now likely that high pressure will remain the dominant feature maintaining the prolonged run of dry weather across many areas of the UK through the day on Tuesday. Sunny spells, perhaps prolonged are again expected across all areas, despite some variable cloud. Winds light still across many areas and remaining very warm or hot. Highs 21C to 29C.

Wednesday 11/07/18
At the moment little change in the forecast by next Wednesday with still high pressure the dominant feature across much of the UK. A low risk of an isolated heavy shower or thunderstorms may develop across south-west England, while a weak front may bring thicker cloud to the far north of Scotland. Otherwise, for many, the very dry, sunny and very warm conditions will likely prevail. Highs 21C to 30C.

Thursday 12/07/18
A lot of dry weather is still forecast to be maintained by next Thursday at the moment despite a risk of some further locally heavy and perhaps thundery showers developing in places, but still perhaps particularly across south-west England in association with the potential development of low pressure from the south-west. Otherwise remaining very warm and very dry for most. Highs 21C to 30C.

Friday 13/07/18
Uncertainties by next Friday but there could be an increased risk of some locally heavy and thundery showers breaking out during the day as pressure begins to slow fall. Despite this risk though a lot of dry weather will be maintained and, at the moment, there's little risk of any widespread rain arriving. Many areas maining light winds and still remaining very warm or, locally, hot. Highs 20C to 29C.
