Unsettled, wet and windy, milder at times, but cooler days in Scotland
An unsettled week with low pressure dominating. There will be unsettled conditions and periods of rain as low pressure passes through. Temperatures will be varying with occasional spells of colder weather in Scotland, but milder to the south. It will be windy at times.

Saturday 11/1/20 High pressure to the south of the country on Saturday, lower pressure to the north. A cold front will be passing south through Scotland and Ireland, reaching northern England and bringing cloud and rain with it. brighter in northwest Scotland with heavy showers. Windy in England and Wales, but dry and bright for most central and southern areas. Highs at 13C in southeast England, 4C in northern Scotland.
Sunday 12/1/20 A cold front clears southeast England Sunday morning taking some outbreaks of rain with it. Brighter and cooler weather follow to the north and west. There will be showers, some of them heavy, especially on hills. The showers wintry over the hills of Scotland. Highs at 4 to 9C.
Monday 13/1/20 Wind and rain spreading east on Monday. The rain could be heavy in the west, probably reaching the east later in the day. Low pressure will be west of Scotland. Highs at 5 to 9C.
Tuesday 14/1/20 Unsettled again on Tuesday as low pressure passes eastwards. This takes areas of rain with it. Showers then follow from the west, some of them heavy. Highs at 6 to 12C.
Wednesday 15/1/20 A brighter day as a ridge of high pressure builds. Showers follow to the west, with eastern areas being drier and brighter. Highs at 4 to 8C.
Thursday 16/1/20 A ridge of high pressure builds. Sunny spells ahead of more rain arriving later. Highs at 5 to 10C.
