It will bring cloud and rain across southern areas with a risk of some sleet and snow over the hills of Wales and northern England. Rain may be particularly heavy again for the far south. Brighter but cold with wintry showers across Scotland while conditions improve across Ireland and Northern Ireland. Highs at 2 to 7C for most, 10 to 13C across southern parts of England and Wales.

Rain and sleet clear the far south of England on Christmas Eve morning while colder air spreads across the UK and Ireland. Scattered showers and strong winds affect eastern parts of England and Scotland and coastal areas around the Irish Sea though it will be a dry and bright day for most. Cloud builds to the northwest later. High temperatures at 1 to 7C.

Christmas Day 25/12/20

Boxing Day 26/12/20
Winds pick up across the country on Boxing Day while outbreaks of rain become heavier and more persistent over Scotland and Northern Ireland. Some patchy rain spreads into northern and central parts of England and Ireland but many southern areas stay dry and fair. Highs of 4 to 8C.

Sunday 27/12/20
