Thundery showers, torrential in places, staying warm

Low pressure brings a thundery few says. The thunderstorms could be torrential and may lead to localised flooding in places. Most rain in western and southern areas although anywhere may see some heavy rain at times. Staying warm overall with some very warm days.

Thursday 8/9/22
Low pressure drifts over the United Kingdom on Thursday. Another mixed or unsettled day with heavy, thundery showers for most areas. The showers could become torrential at times and localised flooding is possible. Rain may affect eastern Scotland. Northwest Scotland should be drier and it will be brighter here too with some sunny spells. Highs at 22C in any brightness in the east, 17C in northern Scotland.

Friday 9/9/22
Low pressure moves out over the North Sea on Friday. The whole of Ireland and western Scotland will gradually become drier and brighter while breezy, with England and parts of Wales still experiencing outbreaks of rain and showers, again possibly thundery in places. Most rain in central and eastern areas. Highs at 17 to 22C.

Saturday 10/9/22
Showers in eastern areas of Scotland and England on Saturday. Fair in western and southern areas with sunny spells and dry conditions. Cloud and increasing wind and cloud with some outbreaks of rain. Highs at 23C in southern England, 16C in northern Scotland.

Sunday 11/9/22
Low pressure to the west of Ireland with high pressure to the east. Fronts passing east bringing heavy and thundery bursts of rain. western Wales and the far southwest of England becoming wetter too. Drier elsewhere with some sunny spells, scattered showers in the east. Highs at 23C in southeast England, 18C in the west.

Monday 12/9/22
Fronts bringing some rain through western and southern areas. The rain could be heavy and thundery at times. Drier in the east with sunny spells. Highs at 19 to 25C.

Tuesday 13/9/22
Thundery rain transfers east on Tuesday. The rain could be heavy at times. Heavy showers and thunderstorms in the west and south. Highs at 18 to 24C.
