Mixed with rain and showers, cooler later in the week

A mixed week with periods of rain and showers. Most of the rain in northern and western areas, fewer in the east and south. Staying mixed into the weekend with further showers and turning a little cooler too.

Monday 6/6/22
Low pressure east of the country brings cloud and some outbreaks of rain to much of eastern England. There could be some showers and outbreaks of rain through more central areas as well as in Wales. Showers too in southern England. Much of northern England, Scotland and Ireland should be dry although with a fair amount of cloud. A few showers may affect central Scotland later. Highs at 19C in western Scotland and western Ireland, 15C in eastern England.

Tuesday 7/6/22
Low pressure stays to the east through Tuesday. Sunny spells and dry across northern areas. Showers in southern and western areas, a few of them heavy and thundery. Highs at 16C in the east, 19C in the west.

Wednesday 8/6/22
Rain in Ireland on Wednesday as a front edges eastwards. The rain may reach western Wales and southwest England later. Drier for other areas with some bright or sunny spells, but always a fair amount of cloud. Scattered showers in the east. Highs at 15 to 19C.

Thursday 9/6/22
Low pressure west of Ireland on Thursday. A fair amount of cloud for many areas. Patchy rain in eastern areas of the UK. More persistent rain in Ireland, wales and southwest England with some heavy rain here. Scattered showers in Scotland and northern England. Highs at 12C in northern Scotland, 19C in southern England.

Friday 10/6/22
Low pressure stays west of Ireland on Friday. This brings showers and periods of rain across Ireland, western and northern areas of the UK. Drier in the east and south with a few showers but also plenty of cloud. A breezy day. Highs at 14 to 19C.

Saturday 11/6/22
Low pressure north of Scotland on Saturday. Showers for many. The showers could be heavy and thundery at times. Most showers in the north and west with a risk of thunder. Breezy with hughs at 14 to 18C.
