Cloud and rain to the north and west. Drier, warmer south.

High pressure to the south keeps the conditions largely dry and feeling warm, very warm on some days next week, across much of central and southern England. Atlantic low pressure frequently brings more cloud and outbreaks of rain or drizzle further north and west.

Sunday 8/5/22
The area of high pressure drifts east on Sunday. A south to southwest flow brings cloud across Ireland and much of Scotland, some rain and drizzle affecting western coasts and hills here. The hills across southwest England could also see variable cloud and drizzle. Dry elsewhere with some sunny spells, best in the east. Highs at 15 to 22C.
 

Monday 9/5/22
High pressure remains to the south and east on Monday. This should bring more dry, sunny and warm weather through central and southern England, though more cloud with outbreaks of rain to the north and west. Highs at 14 to 17C for the north and west, 18 to 22C across central and southern England.

Tuesday 10/5/22
High pressure once again to the south of England seeing mainly dry and fine conditions here. A largely dry and fine start further north and west but cloud and rain soon pushes in from the Atlantic. Rain turning heavy across western areas of Scotland and Ireland by the afternoon. Highs at a warm 20 to 23C across the far south and southeast, elsewhere highs at 14 to 18C.

Wednesday 11/5/22
Outbreaks of rain continue to push across western and central areas of Ireland, Northern Ireland, much of Scotland into nrthwest England on Wednesday. Breezy through here too. Eslewhere, it shuld be mostly dry and fine with sunny spells. Highs at 20 to 24C across central and southern England, 13 to 18C elsewhere.

Thursday 12/5/22
Rain clears from eastern areas through the morning on Thursday to see higher pressure build in allowing for a mainly dry and fine day with sunshine developing for many. Highs at 20 to 25C in the southeast, elsewhere 14 to 19C.

Friday 13/5/22
Friday sees some cloud and rain affecting northwest Scotland and the far nortwest of Ireland. Largely dry and fine elsewhere and feeling warm again in the south. Highs at 15 to 22C.
