Potentially Colder
Lots of Uncertainty

Potentially colder next week but lots of uncertainty

A colder E'ly wind may arrive next week, but low confidence

For the weather for the next few days click here

Tuesday 20/2/18
An easterly wind may slowly develop on Tuesday, but with emphasis on a lot of dry weather for most areas. Some patchy rain and drizzle may be in evidence across some eastern areas of England and also perhaps across W Scotland and Ireland too, but this potentially clearing later in the day. Winds light and variable overall and chilly, but still not that cold. Highs 3C to 8C.

Wednesday 21/2/18
Colder for all on Wednesday with high pressure expected to the east or north-east. There will be broken cloud and some sunshine in the west, but it may be that more cloud affects eastern and perhaps south-eastern areas with may be a heightened risk of some snow flurries developing here. Winds becoming E'ly, but perhaps still SW'ly in the far north and west. Temperatures reaching a cold 2C to 5C.

Thursday 22/2/18
Pressure may continue to remain high to the east or north-east as a stiff east wind continues to develop, especially so across England and Wales. Broken cloud with the best of any brightness to the north and west, while snow flurries develop further north and east, although note that confidence in the detail of the forecast remains low. Winds moderate or fresh E or SE'ly for most, but still SW'ly in the far north and west. Highs at 1C to 4C.

Friday 23/2/18
Despite low confidence, indications are that we remain in cold conditions during Friday as the east or south-easterly wind continues. It brings snow flurries through many central, southern and eastern areas, whilst the north should be drier but still cold and rather cloudy. The best sunshine always to the northwest.. Winds E or SE'ly for most, perhaps fresh or even strong in the south and east. Highs at 0C to 3C.

Saturday 24/2/18
Staying cold and rather cloudy in a stiff east or south-easterly wind on Saturday. Further snow flurries are likely, especially in eastern areas with the best of any brightness in the north and west, but perhaps with some sleet and snow developing in the far west later. Highs 0C to 4C.

Sunday 25/2/18
Low confidence in all aspects of the forecast but likely remaining cold or very cold with a continuation of the weather from previous days. Snow flurries possible in the south and east, perhaps with some rain, sleet snow in the far west, otherwise mainly dry with some sunshine. Moderate or fresh E or SE'ly wind for many, maintaining a possible marked wind-chill factor too. Highs 1C to 4C.
