Mostly dry
Wet and windy northwest

Issued: 0930 Thursday 2nd January 2020
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

Mixed conditions over the coming days but mostly dry; windier and milder next week

Plenty of dry weather for the next few days as higher pressure influences the weather of the UK and Ireland. Variable amounts of cloud will bring sunshine to some, but some dull days for others. Rain for northern and northwestern parts of Scotland and Ireland. Temperatures will be varying too. Turning cooler from the north on Friday, all areas briefly experiencing the cooler weather over the weekend. Indications for next week are for wetter, windier and milder conditions to develop.
